What we do at LHP.
Little Hearts Psychology provides psychoeducational and mental health services for children and their families. Our evidence based, child and family-centred approach helps children and their families learn and master skills. Gain a greater awareness of themselves and apply these skills within their natural environments. We use a strength based approach to build confidence and capacity.
We believe in providing services within the natural setting of the child and/or family, to allow for effective and transferable skills and strategies.
Sessions could take place in childcare/kindergarten and school environments or visits to the home. We work closely with parents/caregivers, educators and other specialists to support your child’s needs and relevant goals within therapy and intervention.
Assessment services include cognitive, academic, social and emotional behaviour, play and adaptive functioning measures. Autism Spectrum Disorder assessment utilises the ADOS-2 and additional interview/questionnaire based assessments.
