Brydie is a passionate advocate for children’s early development and mental wellbeing. She understands children’s individuality, with each personality and little heart presenting with differing strengths, interests and challenges. Brydie’s philosophy is that life is full of exploration, play and continual learning. Within therapy, Brydie uses a holistic approach focusing on building capacity through family-centered, child led and evidence-based practice. Services include assessment, intervention, therapy and the provision of reports.

Brydie is particularly adept at working with children presenting with neurodevelopmental disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder and developmental delay. Brydie is also experienced with trauma and attachment difficulties, using attachment and trauma-informed practices to support families in understanding their own needs and that of their children.

Brydie has extensive experience and qualifications in the early childhood field, having taught as a Kindergarten Teacher, Educational Play Therapist and also working in Early Childhood Intervention.

Brydie holds a Masters of Teaching (Early Childhood) from the University of Melbourne, a Bachelor of Science (Psychology/Psychophysiology) and a Postgraduate Diploma of Psychology from Swinburne University and a Masters of Educational and Developmental Psychology from Monash University.

Brydie is a registered Educational and Developmental Psychologist and holds General Registration with the Psychology Board of AHPRA. Brydie is also a Member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc and is a Board Approved Supervisor and Registrar program Principal Supervisor (Educational and Developmental Psychology).

When not working, Brydie spends her time exploring nature with her family, hiking and keeping active with pilates and cycling. Brydie also enjoys pushing her creativity through hobbies including floristry, pottery and art.
